Ridez, a pioneering micro-mobility technology company based in the UAE, recently took part in the 'Tomorrow's Ride' cycling event, a part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge initiated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This exciting event, co-organized by Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) and the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), attracted around 500 participants, including 15 cycling teams, creating a vibrant atmosphere for families and sports enthusiasts.
The event started at the HBMSU headquarters and traversed through the Academic City, offering both a family-friendly 4 km track for participants of all ages and a more challenging 14 km course for seasoned cyclists testing their endurance.
Ridez used this platform to showcase its innovative solutions aimed at transforming the safety and efficiency of cycling. The company is committed to making micro-mobility safer, more convenient, and sustainable, and it envisions reshaping the cycling experience through cutting-edge technology.
A pivotal moment during the event was the official launch of Ridez App and Ridez+, signifying a significant leap forward in the quest to enhance the overall cycling experience. The Ridez App, presented not merely as a mobile application but as a vibrant community hub, goes beyond functionality. Users can, with a simple tap on the screen, access a plethora of services aimed at elevating the ease and safety of their cycling adventures. This app not only provides practical features but also fosters a sense of community among cyclists, creating a gateway to a world of enriching cycling experiences.
In parallel, Ridez+ represents a smart IoT device that can be seamlessly mounted on various parts of a bicycle. Its lightweight, weatherproof, and durable design houses sensors and accelerometers continuously monitoring the cyclist's movements. By detecting sudden changes indicative of potential accidents, such as rapid deceleration or abrupt changes in direction, Ridez+ acts as a proactive safety measure. In the unfortunate event of a collision or accident, it automatically dispatches notifications to the nearest medical services and first responders, ensuring prompt and efficient assistance.
As a gesture of appreciation and to add an extra layer of excitement to 'Tomorrow's Ride,' Ridez went a step further by generously distributing giveaways to the participants. This not only contributed to the festive atmosphere of the event but also served as a tangible expression of gratitude towards the cycling community.
